Shelley’s Story

I often get asked how I learned to channel the angelic realm. First, it wasn’t as much of a learning as a remembering. I used to think that communicating with the divine in a way where a human could actually speak to God (Source, Universe) and receive a response was reserved for religious figures or people with superhuman abilities. I have since realized that all human beings are able to hear and receive messages from the angels and God. However, many of us have forgotten our innate ability to communicate in this way. A large part of my soul mission is to support people to remember and restore this ability. 

My own journey toward remembering my connection involved years of healing work starting at the age of four. I was sexually abused as a young child but was very blessed as my family got me the support I needed to start healing the trauma right away. Then when I was twelve, I started to suffer from chronic health issues. My symptoms became so severe in my twenties that I had to take multiple medical leaves from college and was unable to work for about three years.

During these years, I believed that my health issues were my fault and that I wasn’t strong enough to “push through” them. I understood that my physical illness was most likely connected to the abuse but I still believed that I was weak to let the abuse affect me in this way. After all, it had been years since it happened and I had spent so much time working on healing the trauma. I should’ve been “over it”. Especially as there were numerous people who suffered far more severe traumas and were able to function like “normal” adults. 

I dove deeper into healing in my mid-to-late twenties by seeing various traditional and alternative practitioners. There were many major breakthroughs, miracles, and awakenings including the realization that none of this was my fault and that this journey of healing was actually a gift.

In November of 2017 I was in the process of meditating when I heard a voice. It was just like when I think my own thoughts, but the voice was clearly not my own. It was filled with love and compassion and when it started speaking I felt an immediate sense of peace, ease, expansion, and joy. I felt called to ask who was speaking to me. The voice responded, “I am Azrael.” I had never heard that name before and questioned if I was hearing things correctly. The voice responded, “Look it up when we are done here.” Azrael then guided me to get out my computer and to transcribe a message. The message was beautiful and profound; it was beyond my depth and I knew it came from a source other than myself. When the meditation was complete, I looked up the name “Azrael” and was amazed to discover that it was the name of an archangel.

After this experience, other angels and guides began connecting with me every time I meditated and many times when I was journaling. However, it took me another six months or so to own that I was channeling the angelic realm and to share this information with like-minded individuals. I was working as an ontological life coach at the time and I was enjoying my work, but I knew there was something missing.

Many people in my life were confused when I told them I was a life coach. How would they respond when I told them I talked to angels?

It wasn’t until January of 2020 when a friend reached out to see if I offered channeling sessions that I knew it was time to share my gift and conduct sessions for others. My work began to spread by word of mouth and in February I was called to start my Facebook group, The SoulSpark Mission. Over this past year, my channeling and healing sessions have shifted significantly. For example, I went from guiding those in my healing sessions on meditative journeys to trance channeling the archangels to provide direct healing on the individual. My gift is constantly evolving as I continue to do my own healing work and as my heart (my channel) opens more and more. 

I share all of this so that you may understand that wherever you are on your journey, you too are constantly healing and thus constantly evolving. This is a sacred process and it is my greatest honor to support people in this beautiful journey of remembering and homecoming.
